Genebase offers four different tests in the Inflammation and Stress category:
- Inflammation (hsCRP) Test: This test measures levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) to detect increases that are associated with acute inflammation (high elevations) or chronic inflammation (moderate elevations), in particular to detect the risk of cardiovascular disease.
- Gout (Uric Acid) Test: This test measures uric acid levels primarily for the diagnosis and treatment of gout, but also to detect renal dysfunction and a variety of other disorders, including leukemia, psoriasis, atherosclerosis, diabetes, and hypothyroidism.
- Stress (Cortisol) Test: This test measures cortisol levels, primarily to detect persistently elevated cortisol levels, which can increase the risk of various health complications, including anxiety, depression, digestive problems, weight gain, and insomnia.
- Vitamin D and Inflammation Test: This test measures levels of 25(OH) vitamin D and C-reactive protein (CRP). Low vitamin D is linked to an increased risk of inflammation.
